Bernice Adams, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years’ experience working with individuals, families, couples, and groups. She has been with WFCM for 20 years. She has worked with adults, adolescents, and children. Her treatment focuses have included depression, anxiety, stress, LGBTQ issues, family problems, grief, HIV-AIDS, and marital issues. She has facilitated bereavement and HIV-AIDS support groups and is currently working with the Breast Cancer Support group at WFCM. Her previous positions include: Director of Social Service at Lee Hospital, Employee Assistance Program Counselor for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Behavioral Health Specialist at Windber Medical Center. She is an active member of the Westmont Presbyterian Church, where she serves as an elder.

Gregory Brenner
Licensed Social Worker
Gregory M. Brenner, MSW, LSW, MBA is a Licensed Social Worker that has been working with clients in a variety of medical, agency, and community settings for over 25 years. Greg specializes in working with clients experiencing a variety of issues including, but not limited to depression and anxiety, grief and loss, chronic illnesses, substance abuse, parenting and adolescent issues. The majority of Greg’s carrier has been in the realm of medical social work, where he has worked with individuals and families through a myriad of issues. Greg and his wife are active runners. Greg enjoys reading on a wide array of subjects ranging from US History to Quantum Mechanics. He is a passionate animal lover, and he is well traveled.

Frank Colosimo
Licensed Professional Counselor and E.M.D.R.
Frank E. Colosimo, M.Ed., LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and E.M.D.R. (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. In his 40 plus years of mental health experience, he has worked in hospital, university and corporate settings as a psychological consultant. Since the middle of 1990, he has specialized in Eye Movement and energy therapies along with auditory and tactile techniques for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from traumatic experiences and head injuries. He uses E.M.D.R., guided imagery, and neural nutrition for the remediation of anxiety, depression and addictive behavior. In addition to practicing at WFCM, he maintains a private practice in Pittsburgh.

Douglas Hoesch
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Douglas is a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Substance Abuse Professional, a new clinician with Westmont Family Counseling Ministries (WFCM). Doug has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2020 and a Licensed Social Worker from 2017. Doug provides individual, group, and couples therapy for adults and young adults aged fourteen and older. Doug’s focus is helping everyone develop the skills to live the most rewarding life possible. Doug’s direct practice specialty is with individuals who may have mental health needs, those experiencing disturbances in mood, and/or substance abuse. His therapy modalities include Cognitive-Behavioral therapies, strength-based therapies, Person Centered, The Gottman Method, and Mindfulness stress reduction therapies. Doug works best with individuals struggling to make changes in life to deal with mental/behavioral issues impacting the ability to live a rewarding life. Doug’s practice is based upon self-discovery, inspiration, motivation, and the ability for people to heal. from life’s trauma. He is certified in trauma, treating gambling disorders, and is a Pennsylvania Addictions counselor. Doug is a Federally licensed commercial pilot with over 30 years’ experience and 13,000 hours, accident free. He can understand the stress related to commercial transportation and the impact of mind-altering drugs in all phases of a person’s life. Doug lives in the mountains of southwestern Pennsylvania where he can draw peace from the natural beauty into his practice.
Veronica Kozar
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Veronica Kozar is the newest member of the professional staff at Westmont Family Counseling Ministries.
Dr. Kozar provides counseling services by appointment, on a part-time basis. In addition to counseling, her past professional experience includes EAP, medical social work practice, research in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at UPMC, teaching, student advising and guidance.
Veronica earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her Master of Social Work degree at West Virginia University.
Veronica and her husband have recently relocated to the area. They are enjoying life in the Laurel Mountains.

Fr. Chris Shadid, MSW, LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker with experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, and has worked with a variety of populations and demographics. He has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, and has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. He has worked with people struggling with relationship and marital issues, anxiety, stress, depression, abuse, substance abuse, and mental illness. He is also an ordained priest in the Orthodox Christian Church.

Janet A. Shadid, MSW, LSW is a Licensed Social Worker and has been working with clients in a variety of community and agency settings for over 16 years. Janet specializes in working with clients experiencing a variety of issues including, but not limited to parenting and adolescent issues, depression and anxiety, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, gender identity issues and workplace issues. She treats individuals, couples, and families. A former teacher, she is very active in her church. Janet volunteers at her church camp helping campers, counselors and volunteers with any issues they may need to discuss.
