WFCM’s annual dinner is set for Oct. 2: Facing the Future with Optimism

One of the things that makes WFCM special is that we serve all people who need counseling – including those who are unable to pay for it, or who don’t have adequate insurance. That’s why we engage in fundraising activities like our annual dinner, which is held annually the first Wednesday in October at the Sunnehanna Country Club. Our board and staff are busily planning this year’s dinner, which is set for October 2, 2019.

This year’s dinner

This year’s dinner will feature John Maketa, who will show how demographics can predict the future. Maketa, from KGC LLC, is a thought leader who has studied demographics – the science of population patterns – for years. He is a fellow and advisory board member of The Work Institute, and a guest lecturer at The Fox School of Business at Temple University. He’s also a bestselling co-author of Now You’re Thinking: Change Your Thinking, Transform Your Life; and Leading With Vision.

Maketa will demonstrate how patterns in fertility, migration, aging, immigration, and dying can be analyzed to forecast the future – including changes in societal, political, economic, cultural, and commercial phenomena. His dynamic, interactive presentation will show how the different generations are shaping our future, and why the future looks bright.

How to participate

Save-the-date postcards have been sent out to supporters and past attendees, and an invitation will follow. All are welcome – if you’re not on our mailing list, please download and mail in the form.

Tickets are $50, and may be obtained through WFCM by calling us at 536-0798, or by mailing in the form. The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with cocktails, followed by the dinner and presentation at 6:30.

Sponsorships are available for the dinner at a variety of levels:

  • $1,000: Platinum, including 8 dinner tickets, full page ad in program, company logo and recognition on poster
  • $750: Gold, including 4 dinner tickets, ½ page ad in program
  • $500: Silver, including 2 dinner tickets, ¼ page program ad
  • $250: Bronze, including 2 dinner tickets and recognition in program

We encourage you to attend the dinner, but if you’re unable to come and would like to support WFCM, you can simply make a donation. For every $60 we receive, we’re able to provide an hour of counseling to someone who needs it. You can donate at the PayPal link here on our site, or simply mail in a check.

We are grateful for all our friends and supporters, and are looking forward to October’s annual dinner. Hope to see you then!
